“Don’t cast your pearls to the swine.”

Most of us close our minds to God’s Word in church. You are attending a service on Healing, so your mind is blocked on that. It would do you well to know, that God cannot be controlled. He can choose to heal in a service where the preaching is focused on prosperity.

Yesterday, He spoke to me about my life, during a service about the Word of God. He told me what I had done wrong. “Don’t cast your pearls to the swine.”

Matthew 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

What’s that mean? You might wonder. In life, it means sharing your gifts, ideas, life with people who are not worthy to receive it. Sometimes God gives us a vision and we feel like sharing it with the world, but because the world doesn’t understand the vision, they trample it underfoot and if you’re not careful, you find yourself hurt, discouraged, feeling like a failure. You’re not. You cast your precious pearls to mindless swine and they did what swine do, they trampled.

“How can a carpenter’s son be the Son of God, made flesh?”

“How can a small shepherd boy like you defeat a giant  like Goliath?”

Not everything we do has to be announced.

It’s not even just about the sharing of ideas and your vision. It’s also about you, your body. So many of us are sharing our bodies with people who don’t even appreciate the precious gift. They sleep with you and leave you, then your precious gift is left trampled underfoot and the pearl meant for your husband or wife, is destroyed before time.

Beloved, it could be a friend who doesn’t appreciate you, you give and give and find yourself drained, your precious gift of friendship is trampled in the dust. You are not meant to be shared with everyone.

Everything about you has been fearfully and wonderfully made for a purpose. Don’t waste it.

Maybe you’re giving your time to things that don’t deserve your attention. Your precious time is not spent on advancing your destiny to the betterment of the Kingdom of God or serving God, but is spent on social media, playing video games, sending memes etc… I’m not saying we can’t have pastimes, but watch that those pastimes don’t pass with your destiny.

In order not to cast your pearls before the swine, watch your associations, my Pastor once said, “who you company with, determines what accompanies you.” You cannot expect a blessed end while hanging around people who don’t believe in God the way you do. They will drag you down. If you are not growing together spiritually as friends, you would do better to cut that friendship off.
